The Case for Slowing Down: Recovery Is Training

Heat, mobility and quiet are not the opposite of progress. They are the reason progress sticks.

More is not always more

If you train hard, the goal of your off days is not to do nothing. It is to give your body the exact conditions it needs to adapt. Recovery is a skill, and like any other it responds to structure.

Infrared heat does something different

Infrared warms the body directly rather than the air around it, which is why our heated studio panels feel deep instead of stuffy. Fifteen quiet minutes in the heat can loosen tissue, settle your nervous system and make tomorrow's session feel easier.

Three recovery habits that cost nothing

  • Walk: ten minutes a day, ideally outside, ideally slow
  • Breathe: four seconds in, six seconds out, for five minutes
  • Sleep: treat it as your most important training session of the week

Where this fits in your week

Two hard CARDIO2CORE sessions. Two strength days. One Yoga & Pilates flow. One long walk. One day fully off. That is a week that holds up for years, not just for a challenge month.

You cannot out-train a recovery you never took.

Recovery classes live on our schedule, and our SŌL Sessions are the quietest hour of the week.
